Meet JD Gonzalez
JD Gonzalez was born and raised in Laredo and graduated from United High School. He served ten years in the United States Navy, where he was recognized as Sailor of the Year. He came home, built a business, and spent more than three decades working in customs and international trade — the industries that move billions of dollars through our city every year.
The son of Mexican immigrants, JD did not come from politics or old money. He came from work, family, and the belief that Laredo should create the same opportunity for the next generation that it created for him.
A city that plans ahead. A city that fixes what's broken. A city that turns its position on the border into opportunity for every family who calls Laredo home.
My Platform
A stronger city starts with practical solutions, experienced leadership, and a clear vision for the future.
The road you drive on. The bridge that gets trucks across. The water that comes out of your faucet.
